Have your breasts lost their firmness, were they affected by you breastfeeding your children and you don’t feel so good? The most frequent solution for women is modelling (uplift) of the breasts together with augmentation, i.e. the addition of an implant. Augmentation improves the appearance of a woman’s neckline and modelling achieves the desired shape of breasts, the aim of which is to pull up, firm, shift and generally improve the shape of breasts that have fallen or are flabby, for example after pregnancy or significant slimming. Modelling is primarily the removal of excess skin. The areolas are also moved to the desired position.
In the case of augmentation, the breasts are enlarged using implants. At our clinic, we use implants of the highest quality complying with the requirements of ISO and EN standards and that have the CE certificate. In accordance with a doctor’s recommendations, a choice is made from round, anatomical and teardrop implants from Nagor, Mentor and Motiva.
When to go for surgery:
In general, at any time you do not plan on getting pregnant. This is because at this time the size of the breasts can change significantly. We recommend mothers wait at least eight months after the end of breastfeeding.
What result to expect:
We usually perform enhancements by one or two sizes, together with breast modelling. We always proceed, however, to ensure an appearance that is as natural as possible is maintained.
Preparations for surgery:
Before all surgeries, including augmentation with modelling, it is necessary to stop taking some drugs containing acetylsalicylic acid and drugs influencing blood coagulation. Before surgery, it is necessary to undergo a pre-operative examination. Some doctors also require a sonographic or mammographic examination of the breasts. A client arrives for surgery on an empty stomach, after bathing, with washed hair and obviously without makeup.
How the surgery takes place:
The surgery, which takes approximately 2 – 2.5 hours, is performed under a general anaesthetic. It consists of an enlargement of the volume of the breasts by adding silicone breast implants under the mammary gland or the pectoralis major muscle. In addition, their shape and position are altered through modelling of the mammary gland tissue.
How long will the hospitalisation last?
Hospitalisation is usually two days, but plan a holiday for two weeks to ensure safe healing. We recommend avoiding sport and strenuous activities for five weeks.
What will happen after the surgery?
The drains are removed from the breasts on the second day after the operation. The breasts are then supported by a bandage, which is removed the day after surgery. About fourteen days after surgery we recommend a pressure massage of the scars. It is a good idea to use special creams on the scars. For six weeks after surgery, a client should wear an elastic bra without underwire. A woman can start to place herself under a greater physical strain up to five weeks after surgery. The stitches used are mostly dissolvable; if non-dissolvable stitches are used, they are removed between 10 and 14 days after surgery.
