An effective method to reduce the size of excessively large breasts. These can often cause women not only cosmetic problems but can also be a health risk. Large breasts place an additional strain on the locomotory system and clients often experience back pain.
The surgery is suitable for:
Women with excessively large breasts in relation to their general physique. Regardless of whether the reason is genetic, or as a result of breastfeeding, weight changes or a metabolic disorder.
When to undergo surgery:
Generally anytime is fine, unless you’re planning to become pregnant in the near future. The size of breasts can change significantly during pregnancy. It is recommended that mothers wait at least 6 months after they stop breastfeeding.
What to expect:
Smaller breasts and, when required, also a different shape. You can also look forward to less strain on your back.
How is the surgery performed:
The surgery is performed under general anaesthesia and takes 2-3 hours. The duration depends on whether the procedure includes modelling or only reduction. In case of reduction, the excessive breast tissue will be removed along with unnecessary skin and fat. For corrective surgery (modelling), it is also necessary to move the nipples. We often combine these methods, especially when the breasts are very large with a large drop. In other words, modelling and reduction are performed in a single procedure.
Length of hospitalisation:
Two nights.
What to expect after surgery:
Breast reduction is a fairly extensive procedure and requires longer healing. We recommend staying at home for 14 days. You will also be wearing special underwear for 4 weeks.
