Liposuction, i.e., the removal of fat, can be defined as a surgical procedure that aims to reduce the amount of fat beneath the skin. Liposuction can be performed not only in areas such as the abdomen, thighs or hips, but also in the facial area. The latest facial liposuction technique is based on the use of the cutting-edge Body Jet machine.
The procedure is suitable for:
Clients with facial fat deposits.
When to undergo surgery:
No restrictions.
What to expect:
A slimmer looking face.
How is the procedure performed:
The procedure is performed under local anaesthesia or analgosedation. First, the incision point is marked just below the earlobe, and a small amount of local anaesthetic is applied. A thin tumescent cannula is inserted at this point, and the face is saturated with a tumescent solution, which will only fill the cheeks below the skin. The solution will be evenly distributed in about 30 minutes, and then a special suction cannula is used to perform liposuction.
Length of hospitalisation:
No hospitalisation is required; only 4 hours on the ward in the case of analgosedation.
What to expect after the procedure:
The client will need to take antibiotics after the procedure. We recommend using a snaffle for 2 weeks. Bruises and swelling of the face are common but will disappear within the first two weeks. Rest is recommended for 3 weeks. During the rest period, patients should avoid exercising and exposure to direct sunlight and low temperatures. The resulting effect will be evident in about 2-3 months.
