Excessive sweating is a condition which causes the body to perspire more than it needs to, and is suffered by over 3% of the population. The most frequently affected areas are the palms, legs and armpits. And specifically the armpits are an area where you can prevent excessive sweating with the help of Body Jet. The efficiency rate of Body Jet technology is 87-90%, exceeding that of all other available treatments. Furthermore, the greatest advantage of this treatment is that the results are permanent.
The procedure is suitable for:
Clients suffering from excessive sweating.
When to undergo surgery:
No restrictions.
What to expect:
Results are individual; however, you can expect an improvement of at least 50%.
How is the procedure performed:
The procedure is based on tumescent technology; the armpit area is saturated with a solution, and a thin cannula applies high pressure to loosen sweat glands under local anaesthesia. Then, another cannula scrapes off the sweat glands, and these are removed using an efficient suction pump. Sweat glands are located just beneath the skin and partially in the fat tissue below the skin, hence this does not damage the skin or any deeper layers. This mini-invasive method is performed under local anaesthesia, it is painless and generally well tolerated.
Length of hospitalisation:
The procedure is performed under local anaesthesia without hospitalisation.
What to expect after the procedure:
The client leaves with pressure bandages, which can be removed after 24 hours. A shower is possible the next day. A little bit of swelling may occur during the first days. The client should avoid strenuous physical activities for 7-14 days. Work and everyday activities can be resumed two days after the procedure.
