Mini-abdominoplasty is an effective method for removing sagging skin and abdominal fat that seems immune to exercise or a change of diet.
The surgery is suitable for:
Men and women troubled by larger fat deposits or loose skin in the lower abdomen.
When to undergo surgery:
Generally at any time, unless you are planning significant weight loss or have recently given birth. It is also not recommended to plan the surgery immediately after other abdominal surgery.
What to expect:
A smoother and tighter abdomen in the treated area.
How is the surgery performed:
Partial abdominal plastic surgery is simpler than the full procedure. Skin is treated in either the lower part of the abdomen below the navel or in the upper part above the navel and below the breasts. The surgery takes about one and a half hours. It can be combined with liposuction of the upper abdomen or hips.
Length of hospitalisation:
Hospitalisation is for one night.
What to expect after surgery:
The first re-dressing takes place one week after surgery, and further re-dressing is then scheduled with your doctor. You may also feel slight tension around the scar in the first weeks, but this will soon disappear.
